Hi, I’m Sweta, a Grade 11 student, and this is my story of dedication, growth, and unforgettable memories through badminton.
Stepping into Tyagraj Stadium was breathtaking. The lively energy, the cheers of the crowd, and the sound of shuttles flying across the court created an atmosphere charged with excitement. It was more than a tournament; it felt like a festival of sportsmanship.
One of the most unforgettable moments was my quarterfinal match against my best friend. Playing against someone who knows your every move made the match both thrilling and emotional. Every rally was a test of skill and our friendship. The game went down to the wire, and while I won, it was bittersweet. Shaking hands at the net, we both felt a mix of pride and respect for each other’s efforts.
Reaching the finals was exhilarating. My opponent was an experienced player who gave me a run for my money. After losing the first set, I fought back in the second, making the game anyone’s to win. The crowd cheered us on as the match became a nail-biter. Though I narrowly lost, I was proud of the game I played.
This tournament taught me the importance of resilience, preparation, and handling both victory and defeat with grace. I’m grateful to my coach, family, friends, and school for their unwavering support. Badminton is more than a sport to me—it’s a journey of growth, challenges, and shared moments. My time at Tyagraj Stadium will always remain a cherished chapter in my story.
